RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for maintaining ISO System (QS) – includes review, Audits, training, updates, revisions.
* Manage reported red tags daily – Inspector and Machinist initiated – detail, review, record, MRB, Tracking Rework, Sort or Scrap determinations.
* Manage all inspectors’ time wisely – F/A priority, cross train, skill assessment.
* Report quality issues to vendors in a timely manner – O/P incoming insp.
* Respond to and when appropriate proactively advise quality concerns & non-conformances to customers in a timely manner – 8D- 5 Why Formats
* Come up with different ways to improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality goods – SPC – Sampling plan effectiveness.
* Improve and review new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and training staff to use them.
* Supervising inspectors, technicians, and other staff members and providing guidance – Attend/Review all F/A submittals.
* Overseeing product development procedures to identify any deviations from quality standards.
* Inspect the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products.
* Gaining feedback from the clients, attending meetings, submitting reports, and assisting external auditors and inspectors.
* Review all F/A proformas for new jobs – accuracy, Gage methodologies, gage availability.
* Gage R&R’s – Thread Gage management – Internal and customer supplied – Calibration & Records
REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum 5 years’ hands on experience in a quality control/management role.
* Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and written.
* Proficient in relevant software, working within ERP Systems, must be highly proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Ability to use measurement instruments, calipers, micrometers, and Oasis Inspection system.
* Familiar with continuous improvement initiatives such ISO 9001 a plus
* Experience with developing/documenting procedures.
