TITLE: Sanitation Lead DIVISION:
REPORTS TO: Quality Manager FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt/Hourly

The purpose of this integral position within the organization is to source value-oriented foods products that will help maintain and grow top line sales and margin.
POSITION OVERVIEW: This position is a support role for the Quality team.
The Sanitation Lead works alongside, and coordinates activities with sanitation programs in food assembly and packaging establishment by performing the following duties.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards.
Directs cleaning of equipment and work areas.
Assists in cleaning and then inspects the premises for sanitary conditions at the end of shift every day.
Confers with management on sanitation problems and recommends changes in work practices to improve sanitation standards.
Compiles required reports for sanitation including regular inspections and steps take to resolve deficiencies.
Routes reports to designated plant personnel.
Studies schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet schedules.
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Performs activities along with the workers and supervises.
Ensure work schedules and break times of employees are correctly implemented, and jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly Substitute for hands-on work as needed EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years’ work experience in the Food Distribution industry (Preferred) WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Professional office environment.
Primary office environment is ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
