For Sale 2004 Forest River Sierra Sport Sandpiper Toyhauler.
It’s a T-18, so 18 ft of coach.
We have had it most of 2023 and have decided we’re too old and creaky to easily use the overhead bed.
It’s a great unit for camping and would be a good living quarters for a single person.
The GOOD:
Pulls great! Pulls straight and easily towable with a half-ton.
Stouter frame and axles and higher clearance than a standard trailer since it’s a toyhauler.
Previous owners re-skinned the roof, recoated cabinets, put in a new floor, a new awning, and carpeted the rear area.
Tires ~4 years old.
We replaced the vent/fan over the bed with a new one and serviced the water heater.
We also put in “oak” vinyl blinds.
Great floorplan with LOTS of storage space for a trailer this small.
Six can easily sit at the table.
All the appliances work.
Furnace, micro, water heater work.
We’ve only briefly turned on the AC but seemed to be ok.
Three burner stove and small oven.
Most new trailers no longer have ovens.
They work!
Toilet, shower and water heater work great.
(Water gets really hot!)
Nice real wood cabinets that are sturdy, not the cardboard ones like today.
NO LEAKS!
The BAD:
The ramp sticks.
It’s needed prying to open a few times.
If you’re using it as just a trailer, not a toyhauler, it’s not an issue.
(Us and the previous owners did that).
Small interior wall hole in interior wood.
The benches seemed to be installed oddly (assume when they put the carpet in).
They’re not level, and should be.
Needs a spacer to be bolted in to raise the back some.
Then they can open and be used to sleep on.
Outside decals are pretty faded.
Located in Bear Valley, will need gate pass to see.
