YOUR IMPACT You will be able to take your experience as a software engineer and team lead and use it to be the bridge between the technical execution and the program management team as you help lead the team to meet release milestones.
The responsibilities for this role will include: - Partner with technical leads to determine how we structure and execute our work and report performance to senior leaders - Collaborate with Software Program Management, CAMs, tech leads, and other capability leads in translating the top-level capabilities roadmap into a detailed implementation plan.
- Work directly with multiple software teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters ensuring we have planned, can execute, and will release software to meet our stakeholder requirements.
- Collaborate with program leads for successful development, integration, and release of the vehicle management hardware, software, and system products to provide the required capability maturity on schedule.
- Lead gap analyses, trades studies, and investigations as needed to support the Software Program Management team.
- Support the Software IPT to prepare for and present at program reviews.
- Support the Software team in delivering and releasing developed content.
- Champion the Agile development of the vehicle management products by supporting/facilitating Agile planning meetings, reporting sprint-by-sprint status, attending demonstrations and sprint review meetings, and other related activities.
This is in coordination with the Software Program Manager and other program team leads.
- Utilize your experience as a software engineer and lead in determining which metrics to gather, and in gathering, reporting, and analyzing agreed-to software metrics to ensure software deliveries are on track, and team resources are being optimized.
-Helping to automate other existing program processes and accelerate the pace of our team's delivery practices This position offers a motivated engineer the opportunity to have a high impact on a productive program as they grow their own skillset.
Travel up to 10% may be required.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelors degree or above from an accredited college in a relevant field of study; or equivalent experience • Experience with C and/or C++ • Experience with the software development process in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking) • Experience with Software Build Planning • Experience with the System Design Lifecycle and Software Design Lifecycle • Experience leading technical teams Must be a US citizen.
This position requires special access and a Secret clearance updated within the last 5 years to be considered.
