Job Description Salary Range: $67,214 - $96,500 DCS Corp is looking for an experienced junior-to-mid-level Data Engineer to work part-time with the F/A-18 & EA-18G Integrated Product Team (IPT).
Essential Job Functions: Collaborate with software developers, system operators, administrators and other IT staff members to support the IPT’s software development, reporting and IT infrastructure.
Develop advanced SQL scripts for data extraction from SQL Server databases.
Create data structuring/mapping, the process of defining data types and the connections between them.
Develop complex ETL pipelines to support organization.
Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines.
Design & build both logical and physical data models for both Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) solutions.
Manage metadata structures needed for building reusable Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) components.
Design, code, test, correct and document programs and scripts using agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result.
Ability to work on multiple areas like ETL, Data modeling & design, writing complex SQL queries etc.
Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products.
Create and manage multiple databases and assist in capacity planning and requirement gathering.
Monitor, maintain database systems and troubleshoot problems that may arise.
Maintain data integrity and security (manage roles and permissions of database users).
Support software developers with database operations including the development of complex SQL and the creation of stored procedures.
Manage work in production, QA and development database environments.
Create detailed documentation including diagrams of database infrastructure.
Learn relevant business processes and understand the data flow, criticality and dependencies.
Coordinate and communicate with all the stakeholders (internal teams and clients) effectively.
Set up and maintain database infrastructure for the organization’s Business Intelligence (BI) needs.

Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in databases, or equivalent and relevant certifications.
Obtain and maintain a Security Clearance for the duration of employment.
Experience with Microsoft infrastructures, MS SQL Server (2014/2017/2019), SSIS, Agile software development (Scrum/SAFe).
Ability to build and maintain the MS SQL Server database infrastructure.
Able to assist developers to configure database instances, code deployment, and user access management.
Practical experience in managing internal and external Microsoft SQL Server database security.
Up-to-date on the latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently.
Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Desired Skills: Knowledge of and experience with Federal security regulations, standards, DoD STIGS and processes including FISMA, FIPS, NIST, and FedRAMP.
Experience with SSRS highly preferred.
Experience with R, Python, Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI highly preferred.
Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines preferred.
