Summary
Provide engineering and technical support services to all functional disciplines in support of the Test and Evaluation Modeling and Simulation (TEMS) program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide engineering design and technical services and support for the development and integration of all aspects of the manned flight simulators at Edwards Air Force Base.
Provide technical expertise to develop, review and update architectural and/or layout design drawings, and participate in facility meetings to help assure the facility meets TEMS requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None.

Ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance
a.
Education and/or Experience and Education
Minimum of High School Diploma; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additionally, specialized computer-aided design training and certification is an important factor to be considered.
b.
Experience and Knowledge of the Following:
* Experience with creating, updating, reviewing and managing technical drawings and configuration.
(Experience with simulation aircraft models a plus).
* Experience with an automated Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) program (AutoCAD preferred).
* Experience with Presagis program: Creator and material encoding models.
* Understanding of basic configuration management principles.
* Experience with hardware design concepts.
* Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience in a variety of software, hardware, and systems development tools as well as integration and test tools.
* Highly skilled in current office procedures and methods.
* Familiar with occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Interpersonal/human relations skills.
