Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an experienced Sr.
Principal Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
Reviewing status of projects and budgets; managing schedules and prepares status reports.
Assessing project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
**You must have an Active/in-scope Top Secret Clearance to be considered for this role** We are looking for someone to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This job is 100% ONSITE at a Northrop Grumman facility, supporting a restricted Strike program.
The selected candidate will work 50% of the time in Palmdale, and 50% of the time at Edwards AFB.
Specific statement of work includes: *Identify, orchestrate, coordinate and control the program management activities for this specific operating unit.
*Initiate, develop, integrate and execute cost and schedule baselines, as well as technical performance baselines that meet program contractual requirements.
*Taskable Engineering (TE)/proposal development including managing the process, writing proposal responses and working w/ contracts and pricing.
*Develop content and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, utilizing various tools including PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel.
*Support the Risk, Issue and Opportunity process *Drive Action Item adjudication w/ operating unit team, Enterprise and Customer.
*Lead entire Contractual Deliverable (CDRL) commitment and ensure on-time/early delivery to customer.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of specific project management experience, including strong proposal experience, or a master's degree with 8 years of related project management experience, including strong proposal experience.
Active Top-secret clearance (last investigation completed within last 6 years) Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs Preferred Qualifications: SCI Current/Active Special Program Access Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification Control Account Manager (CAM) Certification Salary Range: $109,000 - $164,900 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
