Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an experienced Principal Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
This position is for the role of Enterprise Services & Facilities Project Manager.
The selected candidate will be part of a diverse organization within the Strike Team.
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing an array of average to complex projects related to any of the following: seating and employee resourcing, building construction, Cost Center readiness, and more.
Candidate will perform as the primary liaison/facilitator and Project Manager for multiple projects, simultaneously, and will do so while working closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Team (IPT) representatives, and leadership, as well as Manufacturing Operations, Facilities, IT, Security, and other organizations, and possibly other Programs, as applicable to the particular project.
Most projects will require the selected candidate to coordinate with stakeholders to author and receive approval of requirements document.
Selected candidate may also be asked to expedite timely close out of issues identified on PIT facilities tickets.
Use of Gantt, PERT, and/or MS Project will be required manage the project.
Selected candidate will also communicate status of projects to leadership, proactively identify and communicate risks, expeditiously work issues, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 6 years of Project Management experience or 4 year with a Master's Degree Experience with using Microsoft Office tool suite; Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel Experience with developing PERT and Gantt charts Experience leading teams Experience with Share Point Active secret or top-secret clearance (last investigation completed within last 6 years) Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determine by business needs Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an aircraft manufacturing environment Master’s Degree from an accredited university Demonstrated knowledge of Earned Value Management System Experience managing capital and / or indirect budgets Certified Control Account Manager (CAM) Experience using Jira, Kanban Experience with iBuy Experience in facilities / construction Demonstrated excellent organizational skills Excellent communication skills Demonstrated ability to multi-task Demonstrated success leading multiple projects, simultaneously Salary Range: $88,700 - $133,100 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
