THE CHILDREN’S CENTER OF THE ANTELOPE VALLEY Finance Manager Hiring Details Department: Varies Reports To: Operations Director FLSA Status: Hourly Exempt Salary Range: $50-60K Job Overview The Finance Manager is a key professional responsible for ensuring the financial health of the agency.
Must demonstrate expertise in finance, accounting, cost allocation, budgets, procurement, and forecasting.
The Finance Manager provides analysis and offers advice to the Executive Team to secure the long-term success of the agency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Included but not limited to): * Recommends to the Executive Director, Head of Service, and Operations Director financial insights and cash flow.
* Directs the work of the accounting clerks.
* Prepares grant requests, develops budget requests, maintains fiscal control, and directs the maintenance of an accounting system for reporting and auditing purposes.
* Responsible for creating monthly financial reports for the Board of Directors.
* Works alongside Program Managers to ensure billing and budgets are being fiscally compliant and meeting budget goals.
* Reviews monthly A/R and A/P, monthly financials, bank reconciliations, deposits, and payroll.
* Responsible for incoming donations, County payments, and/or other forms of payments.
* Conduct reviews and evaluations of cost-reduction opportunities.
* Manage the preparation of the agency’s budget.
* Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of agency finances is maintained.
Education and/or Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
More than 5 years’ experience in fund accounting, non-profit financials, and County contracts.
Excellent excel skills and proficient in QuickBooks.
CPA not required, but a plus.
* Experience in cost-reimbursement billing, fee-for-service billing, and full-time equivalent allocations.
