Implement and deliver metal and mining projects for our U.
S.
Borax Engineering department in accordance with the approved scope.
Oversee the planning and delivery of projects from
initiation to completion, and focused on achieving business, study and project objectives through managing contracts, resources, budgets, changes, and risks.
Implement an effective
stakeholder engagement plan through the life of the project.
Monitor, manage and report all relevant project performance indicators such as adherence to budget, schedule and safety
metrics to meet business requirements.
Manage relationships with key project stakeholders such as site personnel and regulatory agencies.
Provide technical support and share
engineering knowledge to project stakeholders.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define, estimate, and deliver on requirements.
Resolve any project delivery performance issues in a timely manner.
Assist with the sourcing of vendors / consultants as required.
Identify appropriate implements improvements to project delivery methods.
Telecommuting Permitted 1 day a week.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $130,000.
00 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 1 year of post-baccalaureate related work experience in the metals and mining industry.
Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:
Supporting engineering and construction proposals;
Project management in industrial mining;
Coordinating engineering studies, including order of magnitude, prefeasibility, and feasibility level studies;
Project coordination and commissioning, including reviewing drawings, developing work packages, identifying project contractors and constructors, reviewing construction schedules and budgets;
Supervising technical personnel and engineers; and
Analysis of construction sites to ensure compliance to project goals and safety.
