As a Deputy Program Manager, you will: Support NASA's Engineering and Technical Support Services (ETSS) contract at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center.

A week in the life of a Deputy Program Manager: Lead and manage task support activities, ensuring alignment with customer and company requirements.
Direct personnel within the team, overseeing recruitment, termination, performance evaluations, and salary adjustments.
Develop, enforce, and communicate briefs, performance standards, work schedules, and priorities for both supervised and non-supervised team members.
Ensure compliance with Federal and California state laws, rules, and regulations in all personnel aspects of assigned ETSS areas.
Participate in ETSS process improvement efforts, defining strategy, assisting in development, verifying training, monitoring implementation, and reporting status.
Communicate effectively at all levels to capture customer requirements, resolve conflicts, drive positive change, and maintain/grow revenue.
Serve as the primary interface for employee award identification and preparation, including impact awards, innovation awards, customer focus awards, safety awards, etc.
Monitor customer satisfaction and requirements changes, highlighting accomplishments and impacts of ETSS personnel to the subject organization.
Assist customers in developing and implementing strategic vision, providing direct tasking support on a limited basis.
Interface with NASA ETSS Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Contracting Officer (CO) as required.
Manage all aspects of assigned functional areas, incorporating requirements, schedules, risks, budgets, and other essential information in Task Plan Responses.
Review and prepare status reports by collecting data from contract personnel.
Be accountable for CPARS results and communicate contractors' performance in meeting measurement requirements to Government's upper-level management.
Job Requirements Must be a US citizen and be able to secure and maintain a security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physical science required.
At least 6 years of management experience and 4 years of domain experience (e.
g.
Project Manager, Chief Engineer, Lead Engineer or equivalent) Strong communication skills and ability to work as a part of a larger team is required.
Must embrace safety principles while performing daily tasks, taking responsibility for own and coworkers’ safekeeping.
Must perform work activities requiring interaction, negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others.
Must be able to work within core hours of 8:00 a.
m.
to 3:30 p.
m.
and occasionally outside core hours as required.
Travel requirements – some travel is anticipated both locally and long distance by car or plane.
NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A 9/80 WORK SCHEDULE (alternating Fridays off) AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners.
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000.
Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
