Essential Job Duties:
The UHS HTM Medical Systems Engineering Technologist (MSET II) performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at UHS facilities, affiliates, and other institutions that have relationships either owned or contractual.
Focuses his or her performance to ensure that all patients receive the safest and best possible experience while at the facilities serviced by the UHS HTM Program.
Works independently with minimal supervision.
Delivers exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, nurses, technicians, administrators and all persons who are contacted during the course of their service.
Delivers service that meets and exceeds all regulatory requirements and compliance for the position held.
Assists UHS HTM leadership with developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships.
Responsible for executing and meeting all requirements of the established key performance indicators (KPI’s).

Professional Certification
Technical School/2 Years College / Associate’s Degree
1-3 years experience with healthcare technology management programs.
ACI Certification Required (CBET, CRES, CLES or CHTM) or Certification must be attained by 18 months of hire date.
Must have a strong comprehension of medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, capital planning, etc…)
Technologists must have an understanding of regulatory requirements on the medical devices we service in our facilities thru agencies like; CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State & Local.
Must have advanced/Strong computer skills (proficient with Microsoft products), and experience with CMMS systems.
Strong planning and organizational skills are essential in the HTM department, along with having excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to effectively communicate with all whom the HTM department interacts with.
Travel will be required periodically for training or to help support other UHS facilities.
