Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is hiring Flight Test Control Engineers (FTCE) at our test sites in California, Nevada, Maryland, Georgia, and Texas.
The successful applicants will provide Flight Test Control Engineering support to include coordination and implementation of pre-flight and post-flight activities to ensure aircraft's test readiness including issuance, and closure of documentation relating to work performed on the aircraft, and coordination of aircraft modifications.
Position requires control and tracking of aircraft configuration, coordinating and staging of support equipment, developing and maintaining aircraft test schedules, and coordinating with other organizations associated with test readiness.
The FTCE is also the primary liaison between aircraft maintenance and engineering, communicating aircraft test configuration to responsible engineers and flight operations.
You will be responsible for maintaining configuration of a myriad of items, from test equipment, software, hardware, all items necessary for a successful test evolution.
Knowledge of installed aircraft systems/subsystems and Support equipment.
Knowledge of avionics/mission systems and vehicle/utility systems.
Fault isolation and/or problem analysis at the subsystem level.
Good knowledge of the system/software engineering environment.
Authoring test and technical documents (EIR/TCTD/AOL/GML, etc.
), plus instructing and overseeing their implementation.
A level 5 employee Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.
