THE OPPORTUNITY (POSITION OVERVIEW) Reporting to the Site Director, the iLEADership Resident works in tandem with the Site Director in performing school management duties and will act as administrative head of the school in the absence of the Site Director.
WHAT YOU WILL DO (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES) Exhibit clear and concise communication skills and public relation/marketing skills .
Develop collaborative, strong and positive relationships with the learners, parents, staff and community.
Act decisively and promptly in day-to-day operations.
Remain calm and composed in tense situations.
Help recruit, onboard, mentor, support, guide, train, and evaluate staff.
Use appropriate language in and out of the classroom.
Assists in the implementation of and supervises and monitors educational programs.
Supports school leadership teams in developing long and short-range plans for academic achievement.
Assists in formulating, interpreting, and implementing the school’s administrative policies.
Coordinates and assists the Site Director with the school budgets and the monitoring of expenditures of school funds.
Organizes, assists, and implements the School’s Safety Plan and complies with mandated child abuse reporting.
Counsels students and recommends and implements student intervention or disciplinary actions in accordance with iLEAD’s policies and procedures.
Assists the Site Director to meet state and federal mandates and to ensure instructional monitoring and compliance needs.
Assists with the overall campus management, student services, extracurricular activities, and community affairs.
Ability to direct the management activities.
Ability to work effectively with all racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, linguistic, and disability groups.
Understanding of, and sensitivity to, the needs of the various cultural, ethnic, socioeconomic, linguistic, and disability groups in the school community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Communicating with others to exchange information.
(In Person/Telephone/Computer) Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
When needed to support a school or education program, must have the ability to travel by public transit as well as operate a vehicle for self-transportation purposes between worksites.
Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
May encounter outdoor elements: high (>90)/low (<60) temperatures, precipitation and/or wind.
Ability to work in situations involving the need to make informed and quick decisions.
Ability to supervise/manage workers and delegate as needed in project management situations.
Reading detailed documentation and analyzing data sets.
Writing professionally, both by hand and utilizing computer software.
Speaking in public settings including making public presentations to large and small groups.
Dealing and navigating professionally through high-stress situations.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING (QUALIFICATIONS) Bachelor’s degree from an accredited or approved college or university with a major or emphasis on education and/or administration/management.
At least one year of teaching experience.
Some administration experience.
Valid Teaching credentials.
Experience with an education setting and/or real world experience in being non-traditional, flexible, open minded, and collaborative.
Ability to problem solve and multi-task.
Ability to cooperate successfully as a member of a team.
Demonstrated capability to maintain effective relationships in a team oriented environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
Very high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness.
