Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is hiring Instrumentation Engineers.
We need Flight Test instrumentation Engineers for Operations, Electrical and Mechanical Design Instrumentation Engineers for our test sites in California, Nevada, Maryland, Georgia, and Texas.
Instrumentation Operations Engineers are responsible for integrating requirements and programming new instrumentation data acquisition equipment, FTI fiber system, analog and digital signal conditioning hardware during integration and flight test.
Knowledge of video compression and recording devices; solid state media recorders; analog/digital encoders/decoders; GPS and IRIG time standards and receiving devices; and other instrumentation devices to develop, test, and troubleshoot data acquisition systems is required.
Instrumentation Design Engineers in mechanical and electrical engineering are responsible for tasks on various platform for design and interfacing between Production and Engineering, ensuring released engineering packages can be integrated into the Production Environment.
Must be able to demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, excellent communicative skills and the ability to work independently.
Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
A level 5 employee Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.

aeroflighttest aeroTE aeroFTIE Basic Qualifications: - BS in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science degrees preferred.
- Aerospace Experience Desired Skills: Desired skills : - Strong Communication Skills - Analog and digital circuit design and analysis - Signal conditioning, transducers, and data acquisition - Extensive knowledge of instrumentation system designs supporting fast paced flight test programs.
- Working knowledge of electronics and experience in electronics troubleshooting techniques and tools, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and other common laboratory equipment.
- CATIA V5 experience - Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings & process specifications - Experience with tooling, machining or fabrication - Assembly/Build Floor support experience - Problem Solving Skills - Demonstrated ability to drive issues to closure and develop workaround plans or corrective action plans - Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and cross functional teams, Production, IT, Facilities, Planning and Engineering - Robust MS Office skill set - Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement - Experience defining/selecting equipment requirements to support Engineering build requirements - Manufacturing experience in metallic, non-metallic, electrical, assembly and installations - Experience developing instrumentation systems and sensor integration methods - Experience developing instrumentation systems and sensor integration methods used on multiple aircraft - Understanding of IRIG 106 - GPS and IRIG time standards - Experience developing data acquisition systems for air vehicles.
- Avionics bus protocols including Mil-Std-1553, ARINC- 429, IEEE 1394, Ethernet and Fiber Channel - Video protocols and compression Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $118,100 - $226,400.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
Represented full time employees accrue 6.
67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, and New York is $135,800 - $256,000.
